We Have A Proud History
The roots of Five Valleys Urology reach back to 1977, when Dr. David Guth established a solo urology practice in Missoula’s newly constructed Garden City Medical Arts Building. Over the years, Dr. Guth collaborated with fellow urologists, building a reputation for skilled, compassionate care in Western Montana.
In 1998, Dr. Karl Westenfelder relocated to Missoula and joined Dr. Guth with the shared vision of expanding specialty care in the region. Together, they recruited Dr. Garrick Simmons, who brought experience from a leading urology practice in Indianapolis. In 2002, the three physicians formally founded Five Valleys Urology.
As the practice grew, so did the team. Dr. Kevin Kronner joined in 2006 following Dr. Guth’s retirement. Dr. Christopher Wicher came aboard in 2011, and Dr. Jeffrey Redshaw in 2019. More recently, the practice has expanded its advanced practice provider team, welcoming Shena O’Neill, FNP-BC in 2022, Nicole Muskett, PA-C in 2024, and Richard Dealym, FNP-BC in 2025.
Today, Five Valleys Urology includes a collaborative team of seven providers delivering patient-focused care across Western Montana. We operate out of a modern, conveniently located office between Missoula’s two major hospital campuses. Our physicians hold surgical privileges at five area hospitals and the Big Sky Surgery Center, offering both in-office and hospital-based care with advanced technology and personalized attention.
